The Only Good Meatloaf

For someone who has always had an abundance of ground beef in their freezers, you’d think a basic meatloaf meal would find its way into the dinner rotation at least a few times a year. However, I had yet to find a meatloaf that felt worthy of a dog’s dish, much less a dinner table.

But, life has a way of aging you, and as it does, words like “meatloaf” tend to have an appealing sound to them somehow. It’s almost like your brain knows that because your children are growing up so fast, becoming a grandparent isn’t as far away as you had thought. Add to that a bad back that continues to deteriorate at a rate that is far outpacing your motivation to exercise it, meatloaf just seems like the next, most natural step.

So, I tried it. I googled, “Best meatloaf” and I found it. I found not only the best meatloaf recipe, but the only good meatloaf recipe out there. With a few adjustments, it was a family favorite. The sauce literally makes it. Trust me, it’s worth it! It’s delicious, easy,...and soft on your old teeth ;).
