I don't know about you, but tacos are a go-to in our house. I always underestimate how much they are a favorite, but each time I make them, I get rave reviews...from Jasper, but also from my kids, who are four and two! This recipe is not too spicy but packed full of flavor! And saucy. We can't have a dry taco.
I'm picky about my tacos and how they are served. At home, I love a fresh tortilla. I buy tortillas uncooked (they are kept in the refrigerated section of the store). It takes only a few minutes to cook them. I simply put a little butter on a warm pan and heat both sides until done.
Now let's talk toppings...salsa is nonnegotiable. Lime and cilantro - mandatory. Avocado - definitely takes it to the next level. And like I said, we can't have a dry taco, so sour cream is a must. Olives, cheese, tomatoes, beans are all a bonus!
I keep a package or two of tortillas in the freezer and I always have Vosem Ground Beef on hand. It makes for a quick dinner!
I like to keep a package or two of tortillas in the freezer and I always have Vosem Ground Beef on hand, and when the food is getting thin and I'm delaying going grocery shopping, I can pull this out of my hat and please everyone!
Mmm! Is it Taco Tuesday yet?
